5 Ways to Raise Creative Children
Encourage children to try new and different ways of doing things. Don't expect their artwork to look like a sample or like an adult's artwork. Don't tell them how it should look.
Provide children with planned art activities as well as activities that they can do on their own. Set up an art center in the kitchen or family room where children have access to art materials.
Build their confidence in their own abilities. If they ask you to do it for them, tell them you'd like to see how they would do it. Encourage them to create in "their own style."
Emphasize the importance of the process more than the outcome. Ask questions like, "How did you do that?" and, "Can you think of a way to make that happen?" Comment on what they have done, "You created a very interesting color. How did you do that?"
Display their artwork. Show that you value their creations.
Life is a journey with problems to solve, Lessons to learn, but most of all experience to enjoy!

ART CLASSES AT HCDC - 2009
HCDC aimed to provide an ideal evironment and help children to explore, create and develop their own original ideas. Inspiration, materials, guidance and tools are provided for the children to learn how to be creative. Each child will creates original art work which is a reflection of his or her own personal interpretation and idea. But what is really important is what children learned in the "process."
Participation in the arts is important. Research shows that the benefits of early arts education extend way beyond providing a creative outlet for children. Arts education can help develop:
Imagination
Cognitive skills
Creative abilities
Problem solving
Fine motor skills
Language
Social skills
Sense of time and place
Focusing
Listening
Risk taking
Tolerance
Uniqueness
And of cause....it play a major role in a child's academic and social development.
Here, teachers and parents are always respect children's ideas help them to learn to think and solve problems for themselves. Children also feel free to make mistakes and to explore, feel free to invent, create and find new ways to do things.

ART EXHIBITION, 3 JUNE 2007
In onjunction with centre 8 years anniversary in Pusat bandar Puchong, with great effort my students, parents and friends have organized an art exhibition, which shown children's creativity, imagination and wonderful art. That's the way children express their feelings and handle a variety of skills through painting and craft.
Teaching children's art giving me so much joy and happiness in my life. It's so enjoyable and am always touched during the lesson. Communicating and observing the expression on their face while they are in deep concentration doing their work is really a pleasurable moment to me. Aren't we parents, always too busy to look at our kids? Look into their little eyes...little hands ...and their big heart?
It's nice to grow with children, they are the content reminder who bring me back to my happy childhood; It's also amazing to go into their word of imagination and that's why my inspiration of creativity becomes infinity...

And art education can play a major role in a child's academic and social development. I hope all my students that getting an early start in the arts can make a real difference in the lives in their future.
