色彩里回顾人生

那一年的梦想 ～彩色的旅途

期待了好些年的梦想，终于实现了！

这个梦想是我生命中最重要的一个，也是最精彩的一个！　

很开心也很感动，更感恩在我生命中出现的每一个人！没有你们，绝对没有今天的我。我特别要把这个画展献给我的父母亲：感谢您给了我一片自由的天空。还有在蓝天里对着我微笑的外婆： 感谢您给了我受益终生的教诲。

更感谢的是陈振高老师。十六岁那年，我踏进了他的怡然画室，　就深深地被他吸引了。　他那随和及慈祥的笑容，　还有悉心的引导，　让我情不自禁的爱上了绘画。虽然在画室里只是短短三年的学习，但和老师及同学们相处的点点滴滴，是我今生里最美丽的追忆。因为他，我对纯艺术的兴趣越来越强烈，也更坚持。那一年，即使在父母反对之下，我还是毅然选读了马来西亚艺术学院的纯美系。

从我后学院时代的初出茅庐，直到今天把艺术创作结合生活，我觉得我是幸运的，有福气的，让马来西亚艺术学院的美术史讲师和艺术评论家——骆孝源老师，一路 上为我打气、支持及鼓励。我曾经在创作的路上迷失了自己、陷入瓶颈、找不到定位而懊恼，感恩是您帮助我放下执着，突破既有的格局，找到我内心深处的新天 地，奠定了我往后创作上的风格。深深地感谢您，骆老师！

因为生活在22年前拥有了色彩，所以我的人生旅程不曾空白过，再加上人生里的起起落落，婚姻路上的坎坷，我都一步步地走了过来。过去的经历成就了今天的我，岁月的磨练，让我活得更精彩，更充实和有意义。

2007 年那一趟柬埔寨的旅行，改变了我的一生。那些贫苦的孩童、落后的生活和美丽的景物，无意中释放了我一直隐藏着的爱及怜悯。开始了我人生中不为了任何利益去义务教学的旅程。这些年来，我陆陆续续的回去，除了分享与教学，在这过程中我把生活看得更深入，把自己看得更清楚。从中我体悟到：生活，其实可以很简单，快乐，其实也可以很简单。

艺术 ，也许对他们的生活来说，只是一种奢侈。但是它提供了一个希望、一个梦想、一份快乐。一个可以让贫困的孩子用色彩来创造属于自己的一片天空。

也因为这样，我把生活都融入了画布和画纸，尽情的用色彩来表达我内心的体验和感受。我人生中的喜怒哀乐，这是我唯一的语言来叙事。

每一幅画的背后，都有着一种心情，一段故事。当我迷失、惆怅、茫然，我能在画布里释然，重拾笑容，跟着画布翩翩起舞！

生活，就是艺术。我用心地把生活刻画出来，希望你们能感受到我在成长中的每一个霎那，我眼中的美好回忆及印记。

除了感恩和感激，还是感谢。感恩有你们的一路陪伴，风雨无阻，陪我走过。

在这里也要特别告诉疼爱我的爸妈：“请原谅我当年的任性，选择了这么不好走的一条路，让你们忧心及担心。但是，现在的我才是你们真正的女儿。我有机会去服务有需要的人，能去参与社会的建设及人文的发展，还能坚持我喜爱的艺术工作。我感到做你们的女儿很有福气，所以我一直都过得很精彩、很快乐、很自在。感谢你们给了我生命及恩惠，我爱你们！”

Honey's Solo Art Show ~ My Gratitude for today's opening ceremony

I am very happy and grateful to delicate today's achievement for everyone in my life, specially delicate this exhibition to my parents for giving me the freedom in making my choice, and to my  "ah poh ", who's now at a better place, i still can feel that she's with me in this journey, giving me the strength and blessing.

I would like to express my gratitude to Mr & Mrs Tonny Leow, Positronic and Colors of Cambodia for their supports and sponsoring. To Dino, for all the advise which make this art show much more colorful. To Joyce, who have capture my beauty with her camera for me to have a lovely invitation card. To San San, for created a lovely invitation card and meaningful scrap book for me.  To William, Thank you for your patient during the video shooting, for making such a wonderful profile for me. To Nelson, who has help out so much for the excellent set up and today photography. To Mr How Yuan, who has all along mentored me when i was somehow lost in the bottle neck situation, Thanks for his direction which led me in discovering my intrinsic-self and my artistic style. 

I also would like to take this opportunity to say something to my beloved parents: " please forgive me for my indulgence in choosing this direction, and had given you a lot of worries. It has been truly fortunate to be yours. I am now able to serve the needy people, the society and help the humanitarian area and my art as well.

And to all of you who have spending your precious time with me, to walk along with me in this  colorful journey. I couldn't have done it without all of you.

Am truly grateful for the many hands and hearts that make this art show not only a great success but full with love, joy & peace! Big Thank you to all of you from bottom of my heart.

UNDER THE FINE DAYS IN COLORS AND ART

- an appreciation of Honey Khor’s  enduring achievement

One day, when Honey told me about her involvement in Cambodia as a volunteer teacher for Color of Cambodia some time 2008-2009, I had a great surprise. Further, she shown me her portfolio of painting done her and there in Cambodia and during travel elsewhere, I was overwhelmed.

I was besieged by her energy and output of efforts.

It is true that I encouraged her number of times, and urged her to prepare for a solo show. I also realize that this was not easy, for that many art galleries were very commercial. 

I remember years ago when she organized a children and teachers art exhibition, I visited her art studio; it was amazing that she has founded an admirable art space.

As I flipped through photographs of art works and activities, my instantaneous conclusion was “highly impressive” and no other MIA/ art graduates have reach point of achievement.

Whilst many art graduates in their later years may have made great deal of profit in art and or materialistic-wise, however, Honey Khor has made a lot of spiritual gains no other can match.

Subsequently, through many years, she organized more of the similar activities, and producing many more of her own artworks, so, now it is the right time, the right moment she should release her works to the public.  

Today, we have the great pleasure to view Honey Khor’s artworks in Penang Village, at Great Eastern Mall. This is the indeed the finest venue for art lovers and enthusiasts, to indulge our imagination.

                      My gratitude to him for given me the opportunity to help in Colors of Cambodia....

Honey Khor has been a godsend to me and The Colors of Cambodia project in Cambodia. She has thanklessly come to our schools and offered her talents, knowledge, kindness and warm style of instruction to the children. And she has taken it on herself to be the best of all promoters & fundraisers for our project! Honey is a lady with an endlessly beautiful heart! Her art, and her spirit, I feel make this world a better place?

This said, now please look at her art. She is a brilliant artist. A keen emotional realist, taking all subjects and making them her own. Vibrant and alive, her pictures warm any room and exude an energy, a positive message.

I congratulate Honey on her first solo exhibition and I thank her for the inspiration and assistance she has brought to my life and the children of Cambodia.

Loves flow on Parent's Day ~ 15 May 2011

No matter how busy we are, it's a must for us to be home. Our gratitude to parents for giving us "life". Our loves to you, mom & dad!!!!

MOTHER'S DAY GIFT

On 8 May 2011 ~ Sunday, and it's  Mother's Day.   The night before Mother's Day, I was feeling lonely as my lovely boys were not with me! Missing grandma and parent a lot and knock off with tears in my eyes.  The next morning, i captured this wonderful and meaningful moment with Nelson. when we open the curtain, the mother bird was "talking" to the babies birds. My heard felt so warm and touch looking at this scene.  It has been about 2 weeks i saw the bird nest on my money plants, just wondering why the bird nest is there..... not even see anything when i watered the plants last 2 days . This is such a meaningful  mother's day gift from mother nature.  Love from mother is so consistent, abiding and unconditional......TO MY DEAREST MAZI, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
